So, when i purchased it, I used to be skeptical at first as a result of I did not want to use any repellent because of my canine around the house, and I was afraid it'd damage them, but this bug zapper compensates for it, and it has actually worked wonders. I've one outside hanging near my back door and one inside as well, close to the window. They both get all of the annoying little bugs. You'll be able to definitely hear the zaps from all the way in which upstairs, and it is fairly satisfying, to say the least.
